Merlin Field Archers

Merlin Field Archers are a Field Archery Club based near Ashby. We were established in August 2017 by Merlin Archery and became an independent club in November 2019. The club is associated to the English Field Archery Association (EFAA) (Governing Body), but also host occasional competitions for Archery GB.

We are based in the Staunton Harold Estate near Ashby. The club has a private car park for members, a practice range, permanent club house and a 28 – target course. Distances range from 10 yards to 80 yards and are permanently marked out. We host a selection of shoots including: monthly shoots which are open to all members of the EFAA; National EFAA shoots; AGB WA field competitions; and host external club shoots. If your archery club is interested in trying out Field archery, please get in touch.

We welcome new archers to the club. We cannot currently offer beginners courses, however we do have strong links with Archery Legends in Loughborough who can offer beginners courses. Any new member to the club will receive an introduction to the course and the EFAA, which includes a safety brief. The club is open 7 days a week to members. We welcome a range of bow types as directed by the EFAA including: Recurve; Compound; Barebow; Longbow; Traditional bows.
